Painted stories – Wind

It was a very long time ago, when electricity and cars weren't yet known. A man was building a hut, while his wife was putting laundry out to dry.
If only this wind weren't bothering me, thought the man, as he was putting up the walls of his hut. At the same time the woman wanted this wind to blow her laundry properly dry. The man was fishing and longing for a lull in the wind, while his wife however was waiting for her husband at home and begging that a strong wind would help her husband get back to shore faster. Otherwise there were no other problems in their lives, but together they couldn't get anything significant done, because the wind always blew nastily in the man's face, but the blast of the wind stroked the woman's hair tenderly and just made good company. Whenever the man spoke with his wife, the wind blew so that it was easy for the woman to listen to her husband and she would tell her husband she loved him. But the man couldn't hear because the wind took the words away.
In the end the woman became sad and left for the mainland. Now the man had to do all the work alone. After some time the man began to notice that a light wind was secretly providing assistance. Gradually the man learned to use the wind and they became great friends. Once, when the man was again walking in the company of the wind by the sea, he felt very deeply that he also needed human company and he shouted as loud as he could: my wife, I love you! At that very moment his wife was walking along the opposite shore and when the wind began stroking her again, she recognized the voice of her husband. Everything was immediately clear. She once again warmly thanked the wind and was already on her way home.
Well, they lived together beautifully and for a long time and they had many children. This story was told by the wind.
